OR Engines

DMR is the sole UK Importer for the O R Race Engines.

The O R engine is manufactured to extremely high standards by GM Phantom.  These engines are Italian made thoroughbred 2 stroke race engines.  The crankcases, crankshaft, cylinder, cylinder head, clutch and clutch drum/housing are all Phantom produced.  Both the internal and external appearance of the crankcases are CNC machine finished.

The Racing Crankshaft has feeder holes in the “webs” which give an additional supply of charge mixture to the rear cylinder boost port when the crankshaft is in the appropriate stage of its cycle.  The crankshaft is also available in both silver and gold stroked specifications.

The Cylinder has a removable liner.  This  allows replacement  in the event of damage.  Additionally the cylinder splits vertically down the centre so that access to all the ports can be made for tuning purposes without the need for the more specialized porting tools.  However you look at this arrangement it has numerous advantages.  Unlike other cylinders porting can be done and undone.  Porting can also be more accurately matched for both symmetry, size, angle and style.  The Cylinder ports could also be alloy TIG welded for differing tuning requirements.  Both the 40cc and 50cc Super Class engines have a 6 Port arrangement with the Exhaust port flanked on either side by auxillery ports.  The cylinder liner is compatible with chrome piston rings.

A 3 Port UK Production class engine is in the pipeline for the near future.

These engines are available from DMR in either standard, semi tuned or fully tuned specifications.  DMR utilises full workshop facilities including a Sportdevices engine ‘dyno’ when supplying customer race engines.
